P.V.'s Frosh Girls tournament champions for 3rd time...12-1 for the season

The Pleasant Valley Freshman Girl's Basketball team captured it's 3rd tournament championship of the season on Saturday night in Palo Cedro. The Vikes defeated Foothill 52-28 in the final round of the Jennifer Swenson Invitational Tournament at Foothill High School.

The Viking girls were lead by the tenacious play of Jessica Gallaway (forward) and Laney Nelson (guard). Gallaway contributed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the Vikes, and Nelson added 16. Brooke Whitburn had 8 rebounds and 8 points.

Jessica Gallaway was named the tournaments Most Valuable Player, with both Laney Nelson and Brooke Whitburn receiving all-tournament team honors. The Viking girls are currently 12-1 on the season, and play Foothill at home on Tuesday.
